As I walked past the historical park, I was pretty excited with the huge contrast of the dark colors of the buildings around here, and well matched with a nice blue sky. The reason I like this shot, is these elements coupled together with the partial framing by the leaves and the fence.

I was viewing the beautiful surroundings in this historical park and I was very much delighted when I turned around to my back and was awwed by these 3 arches along the bricked wall that provide a nice view of the street and the field across.

As I viewed across.............You are really my wonderwall.

Flickr has been blocked on-and-off since 2 months ago till now in the entire China, and it was during this moment that I did not get a chance to upload any of my photos to Flickr. At the same time, I was super busy with several New Product Introductions
Project running simultaneously within the same time frame, thus I am absent from Flickr for the last 2 months. But today I am back in Flickr with the help of Proxy.

As I realized that I just bid adieu to the Lost Horizon, the scenes of beautiful and cheery yellow Canola 油菜 has appeared to greet me into the land of Impressive Li Jiang...

Day 2 - Morning, Naxi Lake

07:00 : Woke up and get ready for breakfast

07:30 : Breakfast. Had congee with vegetables. After breakfast while waiting for the tour guide, had a walk around the hotel and to my astonishment, I can see the Jade Dragon Mountain!!!

08:00 : On the way leaving Li Jiang town. All along the streets, there are hundreds of Peach Blossom trees lining up the major roads, in full bloom!

08:30 : Arrived Naxi Lake

Along the way leading to this Naxi Lake, beautiful farms can be seen all over the place.

Day 1 - The Lost Horizon

27 March 2009

14:30 : Departed from Shenzhen Airport. Heavy rain condition at the airport caused the flight to be delayed for 20 minutes.

17:00 Arrived at Kun Ming Airport. The flight need to refuel, thus waited for 45 minutes before continue the journey to Li Jiang.


Throughout in the flight, turbulence can be felt and I saw many passengers were getting dizzy and air-sick. But I have no problem, perhaps due to I have been "trained up" in many more greater turbulence than this in my other flights. Throughout this flight, beautiful clouds can be seen capping the mountain range.

19:00 Arrived at Li Jiang airport. The tour guide Mr. Jiang greeted us and brought us to the Li Jiang city which is about 40 minutes drive from the airport. At this moment in the bus, I can feel that my head is getting heavy, dizzy and there is a pulsating headache too. It's due to the high altitude of this place with a range of 3000 m above sea level. At this level, the oxygen level and air pressure is very very low.

But at the same time, I can't resist the beautiful scenery of the grassland and vegetation farm lining along the way to the Li Jiang city.

19:40 We had our dinner at one of the small little home-cum-inn of the Naxi tribe people.

20:30 Checked in hotel and since I was not feeling well, thus took a light nap.

22:00 Felt much better, and can't resist the urge to go outside and had a walk. Saw the entire sky is beautifully litted up with thousands of stars, but too bad that I was not able to capture any good shots.

23:00 Bed time.
